Fed: TV is tops for kids, but sport grows in popularity

CANBERRA, Jan 30 AAP - Kids might love spending time in front of the television, but
a new survey shows they are also taking to the sports fields in greater numbers.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics has found that watching the box or videos is the
favourite recreational activity for 98 per cent of children aged five to 14.
And when they're not glued to the box for an average of 22 hours a fortnight, three
in four children spend time reading for pleasure while 71 per cent ...
