GAZA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The governor of the northern West Bank city of
Nablus, Mahmoud Al-Aloul, said on Monday that his city, which is considered
as the Palestinian capital of commerce, has become the capital of poverty
due to Israeli destruction.
The latest Israeli military raids against Nablus had caused the
destruction of many of the city's houses and its infrastructure -- water
networks, electricity grid and sewage pipes, Al-Aloul told reporters.
