Many luxury hotel groups are moving to Chiang Mai, partly because of a
recent government initiative to turn the city into a northern aviation
hub.
One of them, the Sheraton group, will take over the Chiang Mai Westin
luxury resort and re-brand it as a Sheraton hotel.
Peter Thompson, general manager of the Royal Orchid Sheraton, said the
group was also in final negotiations for a new Sheraton hotel in the beach...
