The Awami League has strongly condemned the attack on businessman and party
leader Abdus Salam by the `terrorists belonging to the Chhatra Dal' near
Kotwali police station in the city on Saturday.
In a statement yesterday, Awami League general secretary Abdul Jalil
alleged that the hoodlums of Chhatra Dal abducted the owner of Noor Mansion
and president of Noor Mansion Traders Association Abdus Salam from a few
yards from Kotwali police station.
Jalil said as Abdus Salam refused to pay extortion, the abductors took
him to Jagannath College, mercilessly brat ...
