Jim Brown, the football legend who in eight out of the nine years he played
in the NFL became known as the best running back that ever played the game,
is today serving a six-month jail term for a misdemeanor offense.
Brown, a compassionate man who feels society would be better off if drug
peddlers and gang activities are eradicated, has spent most of his adult
life instituting programs to help despondent and disillusioned young
people, young men and women whose lives have been distracted as a result of
