Black colleges tighten security in wake of racist letter threats

More than a dozen colleges in eight states have received racist hate mail
since Christmas, with historically Back schools specifically targeted.

The letters, all containing Fayetteville postmarks, began showing up in
college offices just after Christmas, said Joe Roy of the Southern Poverty
