African-American males who attended a spirited December meeting of Black
Men First in Oakland heard community leaders talk about a new push to get
jobs and training for the unemployed.

The Men of Valor program operating from 6118 International Boulevard is
looking for more Black males to be trained for construction trades, the
gathering was told.
