Madam C.J. Walker is a woman that beyond doubt made a difference. If it
wasn't for Ms. Walker I really don't think that we, males included, would
have some of the hairstyles we "sport" today.
Sarah Breedlove was born on December 23, 1867. She was born on a delta,
which is a Louisiana plantation. Ms. Walker was the daughter of former
slaves. She blossomed herself from an uneducated laundress and farm laborer
into one of the most successful, self-made women entrepreneurs of the 20th
century.
At 14, she married Moses McWilliams just to escape abuse ...
