Dundalk Embraces Clinton: Hopes High for North Breakthrough

"IT'S a beautiful day," said President Clinton, quoting the new U2 song, as
he looked out over the assembled thousands who had gathered in the border
town of Dundalk on Tuesday evening.
Clinton was commenting on what was clearly the highlight of his trip to
Ireland, the presence of some 30,000 residents from the Dundalk area who
had flocked to the town center to hear the man whose presidency will end
next month.
