Bhutto says father protected generals after '71

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Benazir Bhutto said last week that her
late father had not put on trial the generals who were guilty of abuses in
the erstwhile East Pakistan to shield the armed forces from further
demoralization after their defeat in the 1971 war against India.
