Exodus in $6.5 billion acquisition deal

In yet another high-value deal in recent months involving a Silicon Valley
company co-founded by Indian Americans, Exodus Communications said it was
buying Global Crossing Ltd.'s Web hosting unit Global Center for $6.5
billion in stock.

The move is aimed at strengthening Exodus's position as the world's biggest
