From the days of slavery - when Negro spirituals inspired those in
captivity to persevere, to today - when the songs of Yolanda Adams, Donnie
McClurkin and Vickie Winans make a joyful noise, gospel music has played an
integral role in the lives of many Black people.
And whether you're one to be in church every week or one who makes the
occasional visit, there's no question gospel music can move you, entertain
you and, most importantly, feed you with a soul-stirring message.
