NSW:Man killed girlfriend by hitting her with weight lifting bar

SYDNEY, July 22 AAP - A man charged with bashing his de facto wife to death with a weight lifting bar confessed to friends and led police to her remains, a court was told today.

Anthony Robert Williams, 36, pleaded not guilty in the NSW Supreme Court to murdering his de facto wife Donna Pearce at their Kingswood flat, in Sydney' s west, on November 17, 2001.
