U.S. to Push for Lifting Iraq Sanctions

The Bush administration is preparing to ask the United Nations on Friday or Monday to lift U.N. sanctions against Iraq and sent a senior State Department official to Moscow and Berlin to rally support.

As Kim Holmes, the assistant secretary for international affairs, flew to Moscow, a U.S. official told The Associated Press the United States would make its move in New York Friday or Monday.
