MEXICO CITY, Apr. 8 (IPS) -- When the U.S.-led war against Iraq
finally ends, experts will have the sad task of assessing the
damage that modern bombs and missiles have wrought on the ancient
cradle of Western civilization.
Since March 20, thousands of U.S. bombs have been dropped on the
land that tradition has identified as the biblical Garden of Eden
and the departure point of the prophet Abraham for the Promised
Land.
