Dateline: SANTO DA SERRA, Madeira Islands Bradley Dredge of Wales earned his first victory on the European Tour, winning the Madeira Island Open by eight strokes Sunday with a 16- under 272.

Dredge, the pre-tournament favorite and the only top-100 player in the event, shot a 60 on Saturday to take an eight-stroke lead. It was just the 11th 60 on the European Tour, but it will not count in the record books because preferred lies were used.

The 29-year-old Welshman followed his amazing round with a 71 on Sunday to beat Fredrik Andersson of Sweden and Englishmen Brian Davis ...
