Fed: ANU inundated with support for Stromlo observatory

CANBERRA, Jan 22 AAP - The world scientific community and everyday Australians are rallying to help the Stromlo observatory, destroyed in Saturday's bushfires.

Australian National University (ANU) vice-chancellor Ian Chubb said the amount of support flowing in was overwhelming and humbling.

The world-renowned observatory was overrun by the fires which destroyed more than 450 homes and killed four people.
