Dateline: KEFRAYA, Lebanon Until a decade ago, Lebanon's Bekaa Valley was notorious for fields of hashish, militant training camps and dank hideouts where Islamic guerrillas stashed Western hostages in the last years of the country' s civil war.

These days, a different kind of upheaval is going on _ a "wine revolution, " as one foreign magazine called it _ in the fertile plateau wedged between two mountain ranges.
