QLD: Disaster relief arrangements activated for southeast Qld

BRISBANE, Jan 8 AAP - The Queensland government has activated National Disaster Relief Arrangements (NDRA) in the state's south-east to give further help to people affected by severe Christmas week storms.

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has estimated the storms, which hit three days in a row from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, caused around $7 million damage to cars and homes.
