Monday, December 23, 2002 -- The heavy rain of the past few days has boosted the level of Lake Kinneret by a further 10 centimeters.

There is also a strong flow into the lake from streams running down from the Galilee and the Golan, as well as from the Jordan River.

The inflow, together with the prospect of more rain in the North on Tuesday and Wednesday, is expected to further improve the depleted state of the Kinneret.
