SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The overall turnout for the 16th South Korean presidential election Thursday was estimated at a record low of 70.2 percent, the National Election Commission (NEC) was quoted by national news agency Yonhap News as saying. Of the 34,991,529 eligible voters, 24,557,737 electors had turned up at 13,471 polling stations nationwide, according to the provisional tally by the NEC.
