OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso (AP) _ Hundreds of frightened guest workers
came home from the coffee fields of neighboring Ivory Coast, the first
returnees in a government program to bring thousands of threatened
African immigrants there to safety.
Once welcomed as needed labor, the 3 million Burkina Faso citizens
in Ivory Coast increasingly are targets _ beaten, detained or driven
from their homes in surging anti-foreigner attacks amid a two-month-
old rebellion in West Africa's onetime economic hub.
The violence, and fear of more, already has sent 30,000 Burkina Faso ...
