Bookmark purported to have belonged to Hitler stolen from Madrid auction house

Thieves at a Madrid auction house stole an 18-carot gold bookmark
described as having been a gift from Eva Braun to Hitler.
Three men took the piece last Wednesday from a glass showcase during
regular opening hours at the Duran Subastas auction house in Madrid
along with several pieces of jewelry, the auctioneer said Monday.
The bookmark was to have gone under the gavel Tuesday.
The men seemingly grabbed whatever they could and did not appear to
have been targeting the bookmark, said Leire Barredo of Equipo Singular,
the auctioneers' PR firm.
