Dateline: KANDAHAR, Afghanistan Ousted Taliban militia leader Mullah Mohammed Omar remains at the top of Afghanistan's most-wanted list and will be put on trial if he is caught, a spokesman for Kandahar's governor said Sunday.

Gov. Gul Agha Sherzai is "desperate to capture" Omar, who is believed to be alive and hiding amid the rugged mountains in central Afghanistan, said Khalid Pashtoon, the governor's spokesman.
