Blazing Italian ship runs aground in South Africa

Dateline: JOHANNESBURG, South Africa An evacuated ship carrying hazardous material and drifting ablaze ran aground Thursday on South Africa's eastern coast, according to the South African Press Association.

The Italian ship, the Jolly Rubino, was blown aground off Cape St. Lucia, about 600 kilometers (370 miles) east of Johannesburg, by heavy winds, SAPA reported.
