YAOUNDE, Nov. 9 (IPS) -- At the opening of the Commonwealth
Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in New Zealand today, one of
the men with the earphones listening to the voice of the translator
will be Cameroon's president Paul Biya.
Cameroon, a majority francophone country, was formerly admitted
into the club of English-speaking ex-British colonies on November
1 as its 52nd member, six years after its application was
submitted.
