LONDON, Aug 23, dpa - Olympic champion Marion Jones convincingly defeated world champion
Zhanna Pintusevich-Block in a long-awaited 100-metre duel today to claim the crown as
the world's fastest woman.

Jones, of the USA, pulled away to win the race in 10.97 seconds, leaving second place
to her Ukrainian rival in 11.11 seconds. America...
