Next Group of Eight summit to take place in Evian-les-Bains

The next summit of the Group of Eight most industrialized nations
will take place in the French Alpine resort of Evian-les-Bains, the
French president's office said on Wednesday.
The summit is set for early June 2003, a spokesman in President Jacques
Chirac's office said. Though the dates are not yet finalized, the
conference will likely be held June 1-2, and possibly June 3, he said.
The resort, a city of 7,500 residents poised between the mountains
and Lake Geneva, is famous for its spas and its Evian spring water.
