Can you tell us about your operations in Vietnam? Unocal first came to
Vietnam in 1994, before the embargo was lifted, and in 1996 Unocal and
MOECO, a subsidiary of the Japanese Mitsui, the Thai state oil firm PTT
Exploration and Production Plc. signed its first production sharing contract
with PetroVietnam to explore block B and in 1998 we extended the contract
to cover the area 48/95.
