Fed: Malcolm Fraser to launch new refugee collective
MELBOURNE, Feb 20 AAP - Former prime minister Malcolm Fraser would
today launch a
human rights umbrella group aimed at forcing a change in the current
policy on asylum
seekers.
Mr Fraser said the Australians for Just Refugee Programs was aimed
at creating a "better
understanding amongst the Australian community" rather than focusing
on breaches of United
Nations' charters.
The group includes OxFam, Community Aid Abroad and Australians
against Racism, with
the patrons being the Reverend Tim Costello ...
