The government proposes to introduce a change in the examination system for recruitment to the civil service cadres through the Public Service Commission (PSC). A proposal to this effect will be placed before the next meeting of the Secretaries Committee on Administrative Development, according to official sources. Under the proposal, the examination would be for 1000 marks, including 100 marks for viva voce. However, separate marks have been proposed for general cadres and technical cadres.
