PORTLAND — Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. announced Monday it will acquire the Act III Theatres chain for $660 million, ending more than two months of sale rumors.
Portland-based Act III operates 129 theaters with more than 800 screens in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Missouri, Nevada and Texas, including four theaters with 21 screens in Clark County.
The sale isn’t expected to disrupt Act III’s plans to construct three new theaters in Clark County, said Elie Kassab, president of Prestige Development.
