FED: Blue Mountains tourism - business as usual
BRISBANE, Jan 13 AAP - The Blue Mountains tourism industry was
alive and well despite
the devastating NSW bushfires, tourism authorities said today.
Blue Mountains Tourism chief executive Kerry Fryer said while the
fires had affected
the lower Blue Mountains, operators higher up the range were carrying
on with business
as usual.
"There has been a lot of incorrect and sensationalised reporting
in the media around
the world about the bushfire threat to the Blue Mountains region,"
