BEIJING, January 10 (Xinhua) -- China's total foreign trade volume amounted
to 509.77 billion U.S. dollars in 2001, an increase of 7.5 percent from
the previous year, according to statistics from the General Administration
of Customs.
Of the total, exports were valued at 266.16 billion U.S. dollars, up
6.8 percent; and imports totaled 243.61 billion U.S. dollars, up 8.2 percent.
