NSW: People should not be alarmed at water bugs - Debus
SYDNEY, Dec 20 AAP - Reports of dangerous bugs in water supplies should not cause alarm
as improved filtering ensured they did not reach the tap, NSW Environment Minister Bob
Debus said today.
His comments follow the release of a CSIRO report which revealed cryptosporidium and
giardia were still present in key Sydney water catchment areas.
But Mr Debus said the bugs were at such low levels that it was no cause for concern.
