NSW: Don't splurge and avoid the Xmas hard sell: Fair Trading
SYDNEY, Dec 10 AAP - Christmas shoppers were today warned to resist splurging on credit
cards and to avoid "hard-sell" tactics when buying gifts.
Launching Consumer Week, NSW Fair Trading Minister John Aquilina said Christmas was
particularly dangerous with people feeling generous and under pressure to buy presents
quickly.
"That is a formula that can spell disaster with people splurging on the limited funds
that they have," he said.
