NSW: Sydney housing pressures force land release

SYDNEY, Dec 5 AAP - Rising demand for housing in Sydney today forced the NSW government
to release almost 17,000 hectares of land for new developments.

Located in the city's urban fringes, the land will create almost 90,000 lots over the
next 15 years.

But the move was described as "too little, too late" by the state opposition, which
claimed the release was not enough to bring down the price of Sydney's housing.
