Thursday, November 29, 2001 -- The rate of unemployment among new immigrants rose to 11.5 percent in the third quarter of 2001, compared to 10.7% in the corresponding quarter last year, according to Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) figures published yesterday.
The survey characterized as new immigrants those arriving in the country during the last decade, mostly from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia.
