Afghan Opposition Leader Requests Material Help, XINHUA

MOSCOW, November 8 (Xinhua) -- Military materials from foreign countries
are more needed rather than foreign troops, Afghan opposition Northern
Alliance leader Burhanuddin Rabbani said Thursday in Tajik capital Dushanbe.
"We have enough soldiers to successfully fight against the Taliban and
eradicate terrorism in Afghanistan," Rabbani, the former Afghan president
ousted by Taliban in 1996, was quoted as saying by Interfax.
He made the remarks after the closed-door meeting with visiting
Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, who came for talks on settlement
