LOS ANGELES, November 7 (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles City Council approved
Wednesday the expansion of its Bomb Squad in response to increased alarm
calls since the September 11 terrorist attacks in the East Coast.
The city council voted unanimously to spend 1 million U.S. dollars to
expand and better equip the bomb squad units, which have been busy since
the September terror attacks.
