SOC: Oxford United call in bishop to lift gypsy curse

OXFORD, England, Nov 7 DPA - A local bishop has performed an exorcism on Oxford United
in an effort to lift a gypsy curse from the English third division soccer club.

The Bishop of Oxford, the Right Reverend Richard Harries, sprinkled holy water on the
pitch, made a blessing and said a prayer at the club's new Kassam Stadium at Minchery
Farm.

The ceremony took place before a 2-2 draw with York City on Saturday after a dreadful
run of form which has seen the club lose ...
