MOGADISHU, September 25 (Xinhua) -- Serious banditry along the road linking
Mogadishu to the southern regions of Somalia has forced the local government
to react seriously to restore order in the area. Nearly 10 battle wagons
and over 120 heavily armed militiamen have been mobilized in what is called
a decisive operation against the banditry along the road from Mogadishu
to Kismaio, which is now allegedly "almost impassable"...
