JOHANNESBURG, September 20 (Xinhua) -- A two-day meeting to discuss the
refugee situation in southern Africa opened Thursday in Gaborone, the capital
of Botswana, under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner
for Refugees (UNHCR).
"We are here for a stocktaking session of the overall refugee
situation in the region," UNHCR regional director Ilunga Ngandu said in
a statement.
