LAGOS, September 10 (Xinhua) -- In response to the ongoing Christian- Muslim
violence which erupted at the weekend in Jos, the capital of Nigeria's
central Plateau State, the Assembly of Muslims in Nigeria (AMIN), a powerful
Islamic organization, Monday called for the promotion of peaceful coexistence
among all Nigerians.
