A nomination paper was filed for Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad for
Sylhet-1 constituency.
Jatiya Party leader Abdul Mukit Khan submitted the nomination paper on
behalf of party chief Ershad, party sources said yesterday.
Ershad cannot contest the election for legal reasons.
Jatiya Party senior Presidium member Begum Raushan Ershad yesterday
filed her nomination papers at the Returning Officer's office at Mymensingh
at about 11 am.
