While much of Europe remains cool to the euro, the locals have warmly embraced it in one spot in sunny southern France.The reason? They are bursting with satisfaction that the new 5 note depicts what to their eyes is one of their region's most famous landmarks: the 2,000-year-old Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct that towers over a gorge on the Gard river.
