Today is the 26th anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's
demise. It is saddening that his life was cut short by the execution of
an evil plan hatched and executed by a few aberrant and disgruntled army
officers. The sad incident that took place twenty-six years ago in Dhaka
is still fresh in my memory. I was then in my late twenties serving as
