The Narcotics Control Department, Jessore recovered 498 bottles of smuggled
Indian phensidyl and arrested one person from Purapara Bazar under Chowgacha
upazila of the district on September 5. The arrested person was identified
as Abdus Salam, son of Omar Ali of Kulia village in Chowgacha upazila of
the district. According to police, acting on a tip-off, a team of Narcotics
Control Department, Jessore led by AD, Jessore raided Purapara Bazar and
recovered 250 bottles of smuggled Indian phensidyl from the shop of Abdus
