Russia Detains Japanese, South Korean Ships for Illegal Fishing, XINHUA

The Russian navy Thursday detained one Japanese and three South Korean
fishing schooners on the Russian economic waters in the Sea of Japan for
illegally catching squid.

The poachers were stopped near Yamato shoal, some 150 miles ( 240
kilometers) off the Russian Fareast port of Nakhodka, Russian news agencies
cited the headquarters of the Pacific division of the Russian Federal Border
Service as saying Friday.
