Fed: ALP on slippery slope of change: Macfarlane

BEGA, NSW, July 24 AAP - The Labor Party was on a slippery slope of change to the GST
which would make the tax system more complex, Small Business Minister Ian Macfarlane said
today.

Mr Macfarlane, speaking from Bundaberg in Queensland, said comments today by Opposition
Leader Kim Beazley were bad news for small business.

Mr Beazley said there were concerns in small business about Labor's GST rollback program,
but insisted the changes would be easy to implement.
